Every kantha in our collection begins as two or three old cotton saris. Women in rural West Bengal layer them together and join them with thousands of small running stitches, a craft passed down through families for generations. The result is a quilt that is soft, breathable and completely reversible, with a different pattern on each side.

At 55 x 85 inches (140 x 216 cm), it fits a single or twin bed and works just as well folded over a sofa, spread on the grass for a picnic or hung on a wall.
